Actarus®  tool monitoring systems

ACTARUS®, is a tool monitoring system patented by CIRTES and based on continuous and real-time measurement of the carbide cutting tool temperature. An high precision and reliable micro-sensor integrated directly right after the cutting edge enables significant productivity improvement.

This technology consist in a tool wear detection during the cutting process with the embedded micro-sensor located at the tool/workpiece interface.
